Background

Affinity Water have put forward a large programme of works for the installation, upgrade, and replacement of a series of assets on sites across their network. The focus of this programme is largely on flowmeters, but regularly stretches to cover other aspects of the existing site installations such as actuated valves, pressure instrumentation and telemetry/data logging.

Our Role

LJR Engineering are currently working for the Principal Contractor to provide ongoing MEICA support to this programme of works. We are involved across all aspects of this programme which contain an M&E element, from start to finish. We undertake the initial site surveys and put forward a proposal to the client for their acceptance. This proposal is tailored for each site, selecting the most suitable technologies for use in each application, whilst accounting for existing site constraints and requirements such as power supplies and control/telemetry infrastructure. The size and scope of each proposal varies depending on the nature of the work. We then lead the M&E works until completion, providing fully trained site supervision to our subcontractors, as well as commissioning the new asset to the client’s specifications. For each piece of work, we produce a HOD Pack containing all necessary documents including certifications and drawings.
